Honeydown Bottom

Although not in Figheldean Parish, this is interesting enough to warrant a mention.

There is an apparent gap in the right of way along Honeydown Bottom as shown on both the Ordnance Survey and the Definitive map.

At a meeting of the Wiltshire Countryside Access Forum on the 17th October 2007, it was revealed that in fact there is no such gap in the right of way.

Apparently, when the RoW was traced, there was a crease in the map so it's purely a drafting error.

The area is shown ringed in red on the following image:

In due course, the relevant maps will be corrected to show the actual state of affairs.
