Avon Valley Cricket Club

by Figheldean Webmaster at 12:19 22/05/13 (Notice Board)
Avon Valley Cricket Club had its first cricket match of the 2013 season against local rivals Marden on Sunday 19 May.
The new club, based in Rushall, came off second best in the 40 over clash scoring 116 all out chasing 178 for 6. Upavon's Tim Law top-scored with 41 and Enford's Fred Kenny was the pick of the bowlers with 1 for 20 off 6 overs. Amesbury's Ben Eveling showed that the art of leg-spin survives Shane Warne.

AVCC is looking for well-hidden talent such as anyone who can catch or anyone who fancies hitting a piece of leather very hard so that someone else can fetch it.

Please contact Simon Campbell on 07761 780578 or simon [at] enfordhouse.co.uk for further details.
